Participant Registration - Winter BLAST! 2026

Welcome to the Participant Registration Form for Gordon District Explorer Winter BLAST! 2026, taking place 04th-06th December 2026 at Daviot Scout Campsite, Aberdeenshire.

This form must be completed by a parent, carer, or responsible adult on behalf of the young person attending the event. The full event's registration policy can be found here.

It is for young people aged 13½–17 attending with an Explorer Unit, Scout Group, or with a Young Leader Group.

💸 2026 Participant Fees

Youth participant registration opens on 09th August 2026, and closes on 08th November 2026, or earlier if capacity is reached.

The participant fee for Winter BLAST! 2026 is:
£60 per participant (standard fee, PRICE LOCK)

To support widening access, a limited number of places (10%) are available at a reduced cost of:
£40 per participant
These places are allocated by random ballot after registration closes.

Places are limited, and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis (excluding widening access allocations), so please register early to avoid disappointment.

Gordon District Participants: Payment is taken online via card at the end of this form (unless applying for widening access).
Out-of-District Participants: Submissions will be placed in a holding pen until leadership permission is verified. Payment will be requested once approved.

Before beginning the form, please have the following ready:

The young person's details (full name, date of birth, etc.)
Group / ESU details (and leader contact info if out of Gordon District)
Parent/carer contact details
Emergency contact information
Relevant medical, dietary, allergy or additional needs information
A debit or credit card for payment (if paying immediately)

You will also be asked to provide key consents required for participation, including medical treatment, media, and code of conduct.

This form is used to collect information for the purpose of organising and running the Gordon District Explorer Winter BLAST! 2026 Camp.

We collect personal data to register you for the event and manage your participation. This form also collects sensitive personal data, required to provide appropriate support where necessary and ensure safety during the camp.

Personal data provided via this form may be shared with relevant third parties (such as medical professionals or external activity providers) for event delivery and participant safety. Any third parties used will operate in line with our data protection requirements.

All data collected will be stored securely and retained for up to 2 months after the event to allow resolution of queries, after which it will be securely destroyed.

Widening Access

Winter BLAST! offers a limited number of reduced-fee places (£40) through its Widening Access scheme, allocated by random ballot after registration closes. This helps ensure financial barriers do not prevent participation.
